The best images with minimal radiation and precise reading.
STATE-OF-THE-ART CT SCANNER BECOMES AVAILABLE IN MONTENEGRO
From now on, our patients have access to a scanner unique to the region, providing the most precise diagnostics with ultra-low radiation doses for the patients
The Somatom Definition Edge computed tomography device manufactured by the world’s leading medical device manufacturer (Siemens, Germany) is characterised by ultra-low radiation doses and an incredible rotation speed of 0.28 seconds – acquiring 128 slices per rotation which provide insight into the smallest details of the human body in the diagnosis of a number of diseases from their onset.
Thanks to the rotation speed, the device minimises the need for sedation and breath holding during the examination, because the latest generation technology enables simultaneous acquisition of high and low energy spectrum, which provides additional diagnostic information without increasing the radiation dose for the patient.
With its exceptional technical and application characteristics, this CT scanner is the perfect solution for numerous diagnostic dilemmas in the field of cardiology, oncology, radiology and emergency medicine.
With an 85% reduction in the amount of radiation, a series of technological solutions enable diagnostically high-quality examinations in patients who have not been able to be diagnosed in this way so far (obese patients, patients with increased calcium deposits in coronary arteries, patients with arrhythmias or rapid heartbeat, etc.).
Due to its characteristics, this scanner can be used on all patients who, due to their health condition, cannot be adequately examined on other scanners.
For COVID and post–COVID patients at the Moj Lab Polyclinic, a lung CT scan costs EUR 80.-
Moj Lab Polyclinic currently has the best ultrasound machine on the market, SIEMENS ACUSON SEQUOIA, with as many as 9 probes, which is currently unique in Montenegro. Thanks to this ultrasound machine, with a specially designed probe, it is possible for the first time to examine extremely obese people of over 200 kg, which has been unimaginable so far for an ultrasound machine.
In addition, this ultrasound machine has a number of other possibilities that have so far been exclusively related to CT and MR devices.
Our plan is to open the largest diagnostic centre in Montenegro in 2021, which will have the latest digital mammogram, CT, MR and PET device in one place, as well as a room for interventional radiological procedures.
Produces images of the lungs, bones, a native image of the abdomen and urinary tract, while also enabling specialised urological and gynaecological examinations such as ureterocystography and hysterosalpingography (HSG).
Who are your doctors?
In the words of the associates
For the first time in our country, it is possible to perform an examination of blood vessels of the whole body in one act, here at the Moj Lab Polyclinic, which is of special importance to me as a radiology expert. At the Polyclinic, my patients can have access to examinations of heart blood vessels – coronary angiography with assessment of the risk of disease, as well as to interpretation of the head, neck, chest, pelvis images, various ultrasound examinations, blood vessels doppler for all body segments, and to interpretation of MDCT and MR examinations performed in other institutions. Finally, we provide them with a chance to get a second opinion, which is always desirable. Given that preventive radiological examination of the breast is a golden standard for a woman’s health, we place a special focus on the diagnosis of breast disease.
The idea of developing Moj Lab Polyclinic as a diagnostic centre relies on cutting-edge technology, systematic application of diagnostic standards in radiology and following the trends in radiological diagnostics development. This is a vision I believe in, which is why being a member of the diagnostic centre comes both as a challenge and recognition. Through these efforts, we will most certainly significantly advance the health system in Montenegro.
I like challenges, so I accepted to be part of the team in the Moj Lab project, which I believe will bring a lot of benefits to the health system and the citizens of Montenegro.
