Our Dr. Muhedin Kadić completed a five-day intensive ERA (Electrophysiological Response Audiometry) course in Harrogate, United Kingdom – one of the most highly regarded professional development programs in the field of audiological diagnostics.
The course covered theoretical and practical aspects of key audiological tests: ABR (Auditory Brainstem Response), OAE (Otoacoustic Emissions), ASSR (Auditory Steady-State Response), and CAEP (Cortical Auditory Evoked Potentials). Special emphasis was placed on clinical interpretation and the application of new standards in diagnosing hearing disorders – knowledge that directly enhances the quality of daily patient care.
It was a special honor and valuable experience to meet and work alongside Prof. Dr. David Kemp CBE FRS, a British physicist and professor at the UCL Ear Institute in London. Prof. Dr. Kemp is a world-renowned scientist – in 1978, he discovered the phenomenon of otoacoustic emissions, a method that revolutionized audiological screening, especially in newborns, and for whose development he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society (2004).
This professional development confirms Dr. Kadić's commitment to continuous growth and the application of state-of-the-art diagnostic methods in clinical practice.
